Superior Comfort
A low center of gravity provides both models with a balanced and stable fit, increasing overall comfort. Adding to the helmet's comfort and security is a natural leather ratchet pad.
Quick, Easy Sizing
Bullard's Sure-Lock® ratchet headband adjusts to the wearer's head with a quick turn of the knob. Additional adjustment points permit custom fit, personalized balance and interface with the SCBA.
Tough and Durable Protection
The outer shell of the PXE is made of a high-heat thermoplastic formulated especially for Bullard. This material provides greater impact and penetration resistance than fiberglass and resists degradation better after repeated high-heat exposures.
The outer shell of the FXE is made of fiberglass and is more resistant to chemical attack and more stable at extreme temperatures than those made of thermoplastic. Both models have the color molded through the shell.
Cost-Effective Maintenance
Bullard helmets are designed from the start to make maintenance simple and cost effective. For example, the browpad can easily be removed and cleaned. Competitive helmets have the browpad sewn into the headband making for awkward cleaning and very expensive replacement.
Maximum Visibility
PXE and FXE helmets feature 3M Scotchlite®striping which retains reflectivity to 500° F (260° C). That makes Scotchlite the toughest material available for helmet markings. Both models also feature Bullard exclusive 10 cm (4-inch), optically-correct faceshields. They eliminate distortion and reduce eye stress and fatigue with increased durability.
